Bishop Dr. Julia M. McMillan

Dr. Julia M. McMillan, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is the devoted wife of 30 plus years to Associate Pastor, Elder Terry S. McMillan, and together they are the proud parents of three children, Travis (married to Shadae), Courtney (married to Nathan Favata) and Kendall. They are also the proud grandparents of Imani, Tyler, and Ava.   After a 27-year educational career that spanned Elementary teacher to University Professor, Dr. McMillan answered the beckoning call of God and planted New Dawn Restoration Center in Tampa, Florida on August 4, 2007. As Founder and Senior Pastor, her primary focus is the Deliverance, Development and Deployment of the flock to which she is entrusted. Dr. McMillan is the educational and spiritual mentor to many and with great honor on June 27, 2013 she was formally installed and elevated to the lower house of the Episcopacy, as Overseer of the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches & Ministries, Southeast Region, by Bishop David M. Copeland, Presiding Prelate.   In 2009, she launched Dr. Julia M. McMillan Ministries as a means of “Reaching, Restoring, Renewing, and Reshaping” the lives of Christians and non-Christians, locally, nationally, and globally. The ministry accomplishes this by the transforming power of the word of God, training others to become Disciples of Christ, and teaching them to minister and to lead others in the way they should go. Additionally, she speaks at conferences around the country, conducts leadership development training for various churches, bible institutes, universities, and other organizations, and facilitates ministerial training in Ethics and Order.

Dr. McMillan holds a Bachelor’s degree in English & Communications from Virginia State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Florida Metropolitan University, a Masters of Religion, a Masters of Divinity and the Doctorate of Ministry degrees, each respectfully from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Dr. Leslie D. Callahan, Ph.D. 


On May 17, 2009, the historic St. Paul's Baptist Church (Philadelphia,PA) called Reverend Dr. Leslie D. Callahan (from Gary, West Virginia) as the church’s first female pastor. She was installed on September 27, 2009. Dr. Callahan, who began the public proclamation of the gospel at age 19, earned the Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Harvard University/Radcliffe, the Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Religion from Princeton University. She was ordained in 1997 at Judson Memorial Church and served as Minister of Christian Education at the First Baptist Church of Princeton, New Jersey. She also served as interim pastor of Salem Baptist Church of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.


A gifted professor, Dr. Callahan, has served on the faculty of New York Theological Seminary (NYTS) as Assistant Professor of Modern Church History and African American Studies. Prior to her time at NYTS, she was a member of the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania as assistant professor of religious studies.In addition to her ministry and scholarly pursuits, Dr. Callahan enjoys traveling, golfing, reading, movies, and sports. She is also an active member of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.Dr. Callahan’s chief joy is that she is the proud mother of Annabelle Inez.

Dr. Callahan's favorite scripture is Psalm 27:4: One thing have I desired of the LORD; that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to seek God in God's temple.

Min. Barbara Florvil, M.Div.

Minister Barbara Florvil, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, is a proud daughter of Haitian immigrants. She

joyfully serves as the Assistant to the Pastor for Youth at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA,

under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley. Through her love for Christ and community,

Min. Florvil works to empower children, youth and young adults to experience God in ways that are

powerful and relevant. Min. Florvil is a member of the Lott Carey Global Christian Missional

Community’s International Youth Development team. She was licensed to preach the Gospel at Berean

Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Arlee Griffin, Jr.


Min. Florvil, is a recent graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, where she received her Master of

Divinity. While at Princeton she focused her scholarship on Black Church Studies and Women, Gender

and Theology Studies; serving as the co-chair of the Association of Black Seminarians Women’s

Fellowship. Upon graduating from Tufts University with a B.A. in Child Development, Min. Florvil

worked as the Education Coordinator at the Berean Community & Family Life Center as an AmeriCorps



Rev. Dr. Yoreel C. Fraser Trumpet 

Rev. Dr. Trumpet was born in Brooklyn, New York.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Science and a Master of Arts degree in Community Health from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.  She also earned a Certificate in Christian Ministry, a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from New York Theological Seminary.  Her doctoral work focused on the development of a comprehensive faith based wellness program for African American and Caribbean American women. Rev. Trumpet is employed by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in the Center for Health Equity - Office of Faith-Based Initiatives.  She has also worked in the Office of Minority Health, HIV/AIDS Program Services, Injury/Violence Prevention and the Bureau of School Health.


Rev. Trumpet is an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.  She served on the ministerial staff of Bridge Street AWME Church (her home church) in Brooklyn under the dynamic leadership of the Reverend Dr. Fred A. Lucas and the Reverend Dr.Barbara Austin Lucas. She has also served as Minister to Women at St. Luke AME Church in Harlem and Mt. Carmel AME Church in Bedford Stuyvesant.  Currently she serves at Agape Tabernacle International Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Barbara Austin Lucas. One of her favorite quotes by Shirley Chisholm is “I am, was and always will be a catalyst for change. Her motto for life and ministry is, “be faithful to the work God has given you to do, for only what you do for Christ will last.”

Lukeisha Paul, M.Div. 

Lukeisha Paul is the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for GroupM US.  She leads the company in creating a work environment that welcomes diversity, promotes inclusivity and is purposeful in providing equitable opportunities to all.  She extends this work to the advertising industry as a board member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) and committee member of the Advertising Club of New York.  Lukeisha Paul is a woman of God with a passion for serving God and God’s people.  God has called her to be an exhorter.  She loves worship leading and preaching.


Lukeisha graduated from Howard University with a Bachelors in Advertising and New York Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity.

Lukeisha is faithfully supported by her husband, their two sons and her extended family. 

Her guiding scripture is taken from Isaiah 30:15 “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.”


Shayla McGrady

Shayla McGrady is a Masters graduate of Buffalo State College. Shayla is a NASM and Power of 10 certified Personal Trainer. She obtains a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Health Coach and Life Coach certificate. After 10 years of working in Higher Education, she took a chance on herself, resigned from her career and founded “On The Go Gym and Be Still Wellness”. A dream placed in her heart, and God consistently sees her fit to pursue it.

Rev. Dr. Gail Davis 

Dr. Davis was licensed to preach the gospel in November, 2008 and ordained in May, 2009 at Berean Baptist Church. Throughout her ministry, Dr. Davis has served God with a spirit of excellence and creativity. She has written and produced several skits and drama presentations including the acclaimed The Trial of Jesus Christ for Maundy Thursday at Berean. She has published articles in online magazines including The African American Lectionary where she penned “Generation’s Day”/July 7, 2013 and The Living Pulpit “Is There No Balm in Gilead?” She also served as a research assistant for Dr. Peter Heltzel’s book, Resurrection City: A Theology of Improvisation.


As owner of The Winning Image, an award winning, graphic design and marketing company, Dr. Davis coupled her fashion and design skills to make her clients look good on paper as her motto states. She designs logos and marketing materials for churches, non-profit organizations, elected officials and small businesses. She is currently the Artistic Director for The Living Pulpit, a quarterly publication for servants of the gospel.


Dr. Davis is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising, Baruch College of the City of New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing, and New York Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Her doctoral demonstration project focused on constructing a theology of the intangible clothing to assist black teenage girls in particular to dress from the inside out.
